Lava Rock Compote
We filled our pumice compote here with some faux succulents. It's a great little piece for a corner that doesn't have much light or if you don't have a green thumb. The compote has a beautiful texture and porous appearance. Each one is unique in their appearance, which adds to the variety if you plan to use them in multiples for centerpieces on a large table at a dinner, wedding, or event.
Use with a liner if using with liquids. This pumice is a by-product of Mt. Pinatubo's volcanic rocks. Pumice, a highly vesicular pyroclastic igneous rock, also known as pumicile, is formed as pyroclastic material is ejected into the air as a froth containing masses of gas bubbles or vesicles. The lava solidifies and the vesicles are contained in the rock.
